There was a train that I needed to take.
There was a song wafting out of a window.
Sweet raspberries still on your cake.
It was summer from what I remember,
June or August or May or July.
There was a girl playing violin with her mother,
Lovers kissing as night touched the sky.
As the evening got later and later,
Candles bloomed in the windows above.
Cobblestone streets ran with gold in the darkness,
A lone seagull proclaimed our true love.
If you're seeking a life of adventure,
You'll find it wherever you roam.
Just put one foot in front of the other
And call beauty and joy your new home.
