Lover's Leap (with translation)

Is it the journey or the destination?
From 25,000 feet in the air,
It's hard to tell.
Like that guy who jumped
Out of the plane without a parachute,
It's hard to know if you're a madman or a prophet
When you're about to take the leap of faith.
Physics, gravity, acceleration,
It all goes out the window when you're staring down into the abyss.
Yet, suddenly, you shed your fear like a tattered coat and you're flying
And all you see is freedom and the world
And me, your Penelope, waiting to catch you in my open arms.
And you know that, finally, after years of adventuring,
You are home.

Translation:

Salto d’Amore

E’ il viaggio o la destinazione?
Da un’altezza di 25,000 piedi,
E’ difficile saperlo.
Come questo tipo che ha saltato
Dall’aeroplano senza paracadute,
Sei a casa.
